A new online poker record was set with a whopping $25 million guarantee this GGPoker WSOP Online Main Event. Marked as the most significant event this summer, the online GGPoker WSOP recorded 5802 entries, accumulating mammoth $27,599,500 prize money.

The event kickstarted with only $13,155,000 on Day 1, with only 15 starting flights out of 23. Nevertheless, a vast number of players registered late through the $5,000 buy-in event, transcending the $21,385,000 prize pool of GGPoker WSOP online in 2018.

On Day 1, Kahle Burns claimed the largest stake at 1,387,282, followed by Jonathan Dokler with 1,021,967 chips. Others who advanced to Day 2 with high stakes that took place on August 30 include Arsenii Karmatckii with 678,259 chips, Micheal Lech with 671,675 chips, Ali Imsirovic with 444,538 chips, Dan Smith with 421,653 chips, among others. WSOP record holder with 15 bracelets, Phil Hellmuth, also made it to Day 2, however, with only 108,644 chips.

The final table of the GGPoker WSOP is set for September 6, 2020, which also marks the last day of the online WSOP Bracelet Series that kickstarted in July 2020. Some of the notable names who would be in attendance include Australian cricketing legend Shane Warne, and soccer player Neymar Jr.

It is reported that the winner of the online WSOP GGPoker would receive $3,904,486, which is considered as one of the largest payouts in the history of online poker. The min-cashes are worth $11,843, while every player making it to the final table will receive $230,395. The live event would be aired on GGPoker’s twitch channel.
